Gentle Yoga : This class is perfect for  beginners and anyone wanting to gain flexibility,improve circulation and strength . Students are taught  yogic breathing and simple series of therapuetic postures to help open, align and stabilize the joints and strengthen the body . Whether new to Yoga or revisiting the practice, this class moves slow and emphasizes linking breath to movement. We will discover with practice, breathwork and meditation to assist  the mind/body connection and begin our journey to self heal.   No experience needed. We meet Tuesdays 9am. Yoga Basics :   The class will be a slow moving Vinyasa Flow Yoga Class with a focus on Stillness on the mat and mindful breathing.  Each week will be different but rewarding and maybe just what you need to start your work week . This 70 min class will include foundational postures , standing warriors, floor work to open hips, backbends (supported)for chest openings, forward folds and therapeutic back strengtheners plus guidance with breath.  No experience needed. Readings and Deep Relaxation is always offered.      Meets at 6pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays                 
 
Restorative Yoga : Treat yourself to this journey in which the student is guided through a few yoga poses while the body is supported by bolsters, pillows, blankets and blocks.  Music, low lights, candles, warm stones, aromotherapy and visualization are used to help set the mood of relaxation and stimulate the Parasympathetic nervous system responsible for balance and equilibrium. The body is able to rest and restore like when we are in a sleeping state.  Best be described as supported conscious body/mind relaxation ,the poses offer benefits to both the body and mind, for conditions ranging from insomnia, asthma, migraines to chronic ailments such as fibromyalgia, sciatica, and arthritis.     Cost of this class is $20 (You can pay difference if using Passcard) Contact Donna at 843-450-9402 with any questions    This Class meets  most Sundays (see schedule for dates) Sunday class is 90 minutes and you must call ahead
Yoga for a Strong Back: This class is for those who want to strengthen and stabilize the muscles that will help in increasing flexibility and strength in the spine. 70% of Americans have some sort of back issues due to posture, overuse or structural issues. Yoga is all about strengthening the back, and this class will help you to do this in a safe manner. Modifications given. Wed 11am

Practical Yoga: First part of class we will focus on breathing. After that we will slowly move into basic poses that will tone your body by just using your own body weight. As well as focusing on breathing we will introduce postures to increase your flexibility and improve strength. This class is taught by Maria  and meets twice a week. Community Class . Suggested donation $5- $10 Meets Fridays at 1:30pm

Core cardio & balance:  a strong core is responsible for your sense of balance. As we get older we lose our balance & coordination. Taking this class will increase your balance & core strength. This class focuses on your hip flexors & oblique muscles & you will feel the burn. Also this class includes a lot of balancing on one leg for some of the exercises. You will learn so many different exercises for your core & you don’t even have to do a single sit up or crunch. Meets  Saturday 10 am  Suggested Donation $5-$10  with Maria Brain

Light Meditation and Prayer : Learn how to work with your inner light to meditate and pray effectively.  The “light prayer” or 7 steps of effective prayer will be taught – a simple, effective way to still the mind and the body, go within, and connect with your inner light.  This same tool for meditating can be used for praying for others and the world.   Tuesday 12:30pm  ~ see schedule.  In these sessions you will learn how to use light to open and clear your energy centers, do effective healing work for yourself and others, clear past traumas and the energy body, attune to the angelic kingdom, become a Divine Knower, know your divine mission, and become a planetary healer.  You will emerge as a being of light, knowing and being who you truly are. A nice group of new and practicing meditators have committed to attend. Visitors Welcome. Yoga pricing applies to this class , as well as using a passcard. Kriya Yoga : Group meets Thursdays at 6:15 – 7:15pm  Meets weekly $10 to join in. You may use your passcard to attend.  Paula Kenion , Kriya Yoga Meditation Teacher . Paula has been studying as a Disciple and teaching Kriya Yoga Meditation for over 5 years.Her classes are based on the teachings of Roy Eugene Davis, Direct Disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda. She has an MS in Counseling Psychology with a specialty in Stress Management and teaches classes and workshops along the Grand Strand.

Private Instruction: Whether you are an experienced practitioner wanting to deepen your practice or new to yoga and wish to be introduced to the practice in a comfortable one-to-one setting, private or semi-private yoga instruction is a wonderful way to receive individual attention for your specific needs. Addressing any specific part of the body, individual injuries or conditions such as carpal tunnel, low back pain, sciatica, knee injuries, infertility, or hip replacements, shoulder issues … each session is tailored specifically to the individual.   You will leave with a deeper sense of your own body and beneficial poses to do at home. $45.00-$70.00 /hr./one, one or two persons.
