To Attend Class ~ you may contact or email teacher or drop in 10 minutes prior to class …..unless that class requires pre~payment in advance or has a minimum .Classes or Events that require pre payment should contact ahead before attending for the first time. Our mission is to offer Yoga to All. If you have a situation and would like to exchange work for class, contact the owner, Donna Stead. Teachers contact #’s are included in the description. Most classes are Drop In but check if the new class you are attending is pre-registration only.
Monday Evening Beginner Class : The class will be Hatha Flow Yoga with a focus on Stillness on the mat and mindful breathing. We begin first with Foundational Poses and then add on to move into a Slow Flow ! Each week will be different but rewarding and maybe just what you need to start your work week. Hope to see you at Class! Bring your own mat or rent one for $1 ~ 70 minute class. . Drop in rate Seniors/ Students $10 All other $12 . This 70 min class will include standing warriors, floor to open hips, backbends for chest openings, and guidance with breath. Readings and Deep Relaxation is always offered. See you in Class. Releasing and Renewing : Join Donna Carr Mondays at 9am for Releasing and Renewing Yoga. We will be changing the total practice each week to progress through the process of releasing & renewing, The first weeks will will work on forward bends & twists to help the body with the cleansing process…We will use props to help assist the body in letting go…so remember to bring your pillow cases. From the forward bends and twists we will progress into ”OUR UNIQUE” expression of opening through back bends, remembering what we have learned in somatics and movement of the body……. Looking forward to working with YOU!!! $9 a class if session is paid for $45(5 classes) or $12 drop-in
Chair Yoga with Intention : This Class begins seated in a chair so the focus can be on the Breath while in a comfortable posture for the body. We will gently warm up the body as we make our way to standing feet for a series of balancing and strengthening postures. From there it is to your mat…(or your chair if you prefer)….as we begin to cool down the body and prepare for deep relaxation. Variations will be given for students with limited mobility. Chair-Stretch- Yoga: Join Wesly for Chair- Stretch-Yoga- This class is appropriate for “everybody” , every body . GOLFERS especially will love this class, as this is a chair practice, targeting those who are fit and active as well as those who are sedentary, intimidated, unfamiliar with exercise, entering post-rehabilitation programs and/or those who enjoy a positive social environment. Chair-Stretch-Yoga combines poses into a flowing series that creates warmth and energy within the body. Gentle Yoga for Stress: This class is perfect for active seniors, beginners and anyone recovering from injury, or those students looking for Stress Relief. Students are taught deep relaxation, yogic breathing and simple movements to alleviate pain and tension. This class moves slow and emphasizes linking breath to movement. Guided and Silent Meditations are introduced as well as Guided Imagery for Deep Relaxation and Stress Release! Wednesdays 9am . $10 Senior/Student rate or $12 drop in . We will move in a series of therapeutic postures that help align and open the body and utilize breathwork as well as explore guided imagery and meditation. Restorative Yoga: Tuesday Evenings at 6pm. Treat yourself to this journey in which the student is guided through a series of yoga poses while the body is supported by bolsters, pillows, blankets and blocks. Some poses are backbends, while others are forward bends, gently twisting the spine both left and right. Music, poetry, warm stones, aromotherapy and visualization are used to help set the mood of relaxation and stimulate the Parasympathetic nervous system responsible for balance and equilibrium. The body is able to rest and restore unlike when we are in a sleeping state. Restorative Yoga might best be described as supported conscious body/mind relaxation ,the poses offer benefits to both the body and mind, for conditions ranging from insomnia, asthma, migraines to chronic ailments such as fibromyalgia, sciatica, and arthritis. Body Rolling : Alternating Tuesdays with Restorative Yoga , this class meets at 6pm as well and requires pre-payment to attend. Prepayment required to hold your spot . Minimum 6 and Maximum 10. Donna Stead will lead you in a Basic Body Rolling class working the hips, legs and spine. If you have a ball you may attend for $8 if you need one provided, the cost is $10. Limited Space. American Tribal Style Bellydance : Tribal Style Bellydance now being offered on Saturdays at 10am with Roxanne Balcer. She will begin March 3rd til April 7th. Next series begins May 5th. $10 at the door. Come get a great lesson, exercise and have fun. Students get to practice at the Haflas
Meditation: Weekly Session ~Thursdays at 6pm. Also wants to begin a daytime class.. Learn how to work with your inner light to meditate and pray effectively. The “light prayer” or 7 steps of effective prayer will be taught – a simple, effective way to still the mind and the body, go within, and connect with your inner light. This same tool for meditating can be used for praying for others and the world. Thursday evenings ~ Tuesday afternoons. In these sessions you will learn how to use light to open and clear your energy centers, do effective healing work for yourself and others, clear past traumas and the energy body, attune to the angelic kingdom, become a Divine Knower, know your divine mission, and become a planetary healer. You will emerge as a being of light, knowing and being who you truly are. A nice group of new and practicing meditators have committed to attend. You may drop in for one or all four sessions for $10 drop in fee.
Yoga for Depression: This class will return in last summer/ early fall . This class is specially designed to alleviate conditions of depression in the physiological, emotional, cognitive and behavioral domains. By addressing these areas in an integrative way, we can create deep and lasting healing. Help shift mood and concept of self. Moving Meditation through Trager Mentastics: Self-Care Movement Series (based on Trager® Mentastics®) This class will return in early fall . Learn easy, fun ways of moving that bring comfort, ease. relaxation and peace to your body/mind. Private Instruction: Whether you are an experienced practitioner wanting to deepen your practice or new to yoga and wish to be introduced to the practice in a comfortable one-to-one setting, private or semi-private yoga instruction is a wonderful way to receive individual attention for your specific needs. Kirtan: Kirtan is the practice of sacred chanting in Sanskrit – a form of Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of devotion. Like all yoga practices, its aim is to bring our deeper awareness to the breath of life within our selves. Singing these simple but powerful mantras can have a transformational and healing effect on every level of our being. It’s an easy and fun yoga practice for all ages and abilities, and a wonderful way to renew your energy and spirit. No experience required and best of all it’s FUN! And Opens the Heart!
