Practical Yoga: First part of class we will focus on breathing. After that we will slowly move into basic poses that will tone your body by just using your own body weight. As well as focusing on breathing we will introduce postures to increase your flexibility and improve strength. This class is taught by Maria and meets twice a week. Community Class . Suggested donation $5- $10 Meets Fridays at 1:30pm
Core cardio & balance: a strong core is responsible for your sense of balance. As we get older we lose our balance & coordination. Taking this class will increase your balance & core strength. This class focuses on your hip flexors & oblique muscles & you will feel the burn. Also this class includes a lot of balancing on one leg for some of the exercises. You will learn so many different exercises for your core & you don’t even have to do a single sit up or crunch. Meets Saturday 10 am Suggested Donation $5-$10 with Maria Brain
Light Meditation and Prayer : Learn how to work with your inner light to meditate and pray effectively. The “light prayer” or 7 steps of effective prayer will be taught – a simple, effective way to still the mind and the body, go within, and connect with your inner light. This same tool for meditating can be used for praying for others and the world. Tuesday 12:30pm ~ see schedule. In these sessions you will learn how to use light to open and clear your energy centers, do effective healing work for yourself and others, clear past traumas and the energy body, attune to the angelic kingdom, become a Divine Knower, know your divine mission, and become a planetary healer. You will emerge as a being of light, knowing and being who you truly are. A nice group of new and practicing meditators have committed to attend. Visitors Welcome. Kriya Yoga : Group meets Thursdays at 6:15 – 7:15pm Meets weekly $10 to join in. You may use your passcard to attend. Paula Kenion , Kriya Yoga Meditation Teacher . Paula has been studying as a Disciple and teaching Kriya Yoga Meditation for over 5 years.Her classes are based on the teachings of Roy Eugene Davis, Direct Disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda. She has an MS in Counseling Psychology with a specialty in Stress Management and teaches classes and workshops along the Grand Strand.
Private Instruction: Whether you are an experienced practitioner wanting to deepen your practice or new to yoga and wish to be introduced to the practice in a comfortable one-to-one setting, private or semi-private yoga instruction is a wonderful way to receive individual attention for your specific needs. Addressing any specific part of the body, individual injuries or conditions such as carpal tunnel, low back pain, sciatica, knee injuries, infertility, or hip replacements, shoulder issues … each session is tailored specifically to the individual.
