To Attend Class ~ you may contact or email teacher or drop in 10 minutes prior to class …..unless that class requires pre~payment in advance or has a minimum .Classes or Events that require pre payment should contact ahead before attending for the first time. We have 5 Donation Based Yoga Classes, just show up and pay what you can. Our mission is to offer Yoga to All. Suggested $5-$12 a class. If you cannot pay $5 you may take on a Co-operative Chore. If you can only pay on the low end, please bring your own mat and props (we have bricks all can use) Teachers contact #’s are included in the description.
Donation Based Yoga Classes : Come join our Donation Based Yoga Classes . The class will be Hatha Flow Yoga with a focus on Stillness on the mat and mindful breathing. We begin first with Foundational Poses and then add on to move into a Slow Flow ! Donation Based classes ~ suggested $5-$12 , pay what you can. Hope to see you at Class! Bring your own mat or rent one for $1 ~ 70 minute class. We offer 5 opportunities a week to attend our Donation Based classes. Bring your own mat and props to save. Yoga for a Healthy Back : Join Donna Carr for an 8 week series, beginning January 2nd . “Yoga for A Healthy Back” this class will meet you where you are and improve your relationship with your back. This class will teach simple body mechanics as we work to maintain a strong back and core. The class will begin with breathing, moving through a series of yoga postures ,stretching and loosening the back as we begin to notice it’s relationship to the belly. Every class will end with deep relaxation:; $64.00 full session. $12.00 drop in. Fee Minimum 8 students. Ongoing session, next one begins Feb 27th
Yoga for Depression: Join Donna Stead for a 6 weeks series ~beginning March 5th. This class is specially designed to alleviate conditions of depression in the physiological, emotional, cognitive and behavioral domains. By addressing these areas in an integrative way, we can create deep and lasting healing. Help shift mood and concept of self. Chair Yoga: This Class begins seated in a chair so the focus can be on the Breath while in a comfortable posture for the body. We will gently warm up the body as we make our way to standing feet for a series of balancing and strengthening postures. From there it is to your mat…(or your chair if you prefer)….as we begin to cool down the body and prepare for deep relaxation. Variations will be given for students with limited mobility. Gentle Yoga for Stress: This class is perfect for active seniors, beginners and anyone recovering from injury, or those students looking for Stress Relief. Students are taught deep relaxation, yogic breathing and simple movements to alleviate pain and tension. This class moves slow and emphasizes linking breath to movement. Guided and Silent Meditations are introduced as well as Guided Imagery for Deep Relaxation and Stress Release! Wednesdays 9am . Donation Based (suggested $5-$12) We will move in a series of therapeutic postures that help align and open the body and utilize breathwork as well as explore guided imagery and meditation. Restorative Yoga: Treat yourself to this journey in which the student is guided through a series of yoga poses while the body is supported by bolsters, pillows, blankets and blocks. Some poses are backbends, while others are forward bends, gently twisting the spine both left and right. Music, poetry, warm stones, aromotherapy and visualization are used to help set the mood of relaxation and stimulate the Parasympathetic nervous system responsible for balance and equilibrium. The body is able to rest and restore unlike when we are in a sleeping state. Restorative Yoga might best be described as supported conscious body/mind relaxation ,the poses offer benefits to both the body and mind, for conditions ranging from insomnia, asthma, migraines to chronic ailments such as fibromyalgia, sciatica, and arthritis. Relax & Renew& Restore : This class is focused on gentle yoga movements and supported poses with guided meditation and imagery to relax the mind. Open the joints, increase flexibility, reduce stress and boost feelings of well being. This class is perfect for those experiencing stress, those recovering from injury and those with low mobility, as there is not much movement. This class ongoing til April 10th. . Moving Meditation through Trager Mentastics: Self-Care Movement Series (based on Trager® Mentastics®) Begins Thursday Feb 16th for 6 weeks. 6:00-7:15. $15 to attend. Ask about package discount. Meditation: Free Introductory Session on the Light Meditation and Prayer led by Jacqueline Boyce Sunday March 25th 4:00 – 6:00 . Learn how to work with your inner light to meditate and pray effectively. The “light prayer” or 7 steps of effective prayer will be taught – a simple, effective way to still the mind and the body, go within, and connect with your inner light. This same tool for meditating can be used for praying for others and the world. There will be an opportunity to experience this together following the presentation. Weekly sessions will take place the following Thursday evenings ~ March 29th ~ Aprill 19th $10 drop in . In these sessions you will learn how to use light to open and clear your energy centers, do effective healing work for yourself and others, clear past traumas and the energy body, attune to the angelic kingdom, become a Divine Knower, know your divine mission, and become a planetary healer. Private Instruction: Whether you are an experienced practitioner wanting to deepen your practice or new to yoga and wish to be introduced to the practice in a comfortable one-to-one setting, private or semi-private yoga instruction is a wonderful way to receive individual attention for your specific needs. Addressing any specific part of the body, individual injuries or conditions such as carpal tunnel, low back pain, sciatica, knee injuries, infertility, or hip replacements, shoulder issues … each session is tailored specifically to the individual. Kirtan: Kirtan is the practice of sacred chanting in Sanskrit – a form of Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of devotion. Like all yoga practices, its aim is to bring our deeper awareness to the breath of life within our selves. Singing these simple but powerful mantras can have a transformational and healing effect on every level of our being.
